The Ellington

Pasadena, CA

Project: The Ellington (Bell Pasadena)

Standing nearly 10′ tall and over 14′ in length, this feature utilized EOS Basic LightPanels with 5300k White to backlight a beautiful second surface mural

With the artwork secured by Standoffs through pre-drilled holes, mounting was a breeze and this project stands out to all guests of the property, whether they are in the lobby itself or enjoying a stroll through the lovely city of Pasadena.

“Our design, for a prominent Pasadena Multifamily community, included an “eye-catching” back-lit art piece that would expand the entire wall in a resident lounge and lobby within the leasing center. This hospitality feature would not only be the focal point within the space, but would also be seen from the busy thoroughfare at night.

We designed the graphics for the acrylic art panels; incorporating touches of colors directly from our design elements in the space. EOS helped make that our design intent was maintained as they worked closely with our art team ensuring that everything, even down to the holes for the standoffs, were in just the right place. We were able customize the light output, color and were given a sample light panel to properly test artwork samples. Thanks to all the great collaboration, the end result was amazing – definitely the “eye-catching” focus we envisioned” – Lori Michelle, Principal, Max Michelle Interiors
